The latest expert insight into William and Harry’s relationship breakdown courtesy of Andrew Morton, author of several royal books, notably the princess diana Biography Diana: her true story in her own words.
Morton also wrote a biography of Meghan, Meghan: a Hollywood princess, which was originally released in 2018 and is now getting an update in the form of six new chapters. In these new chapters, Morton explores the origins of the infamous William and Harry feud and the impact it had on Meghan as well.
From extracts published by The mirror, Morton makes it clear that despite reports to the contrary (including the Harry and Meghan shared during their interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year), he understands that the palace has made Meghan’s well-being a priority.
âFar from abandoning Meghan, the Palace had a team that spent ‘hundreds of hours monitoring social media accounts’ and ‘violent threats have been reported to the police’,â he wrote..
Morton did point out, however, that Will and Kate attitudes towards Meghan and Harry were a big factor in the brothers ‘feud and, by extension, in the Sussexes’ eventual decision to step away from royal life.
“The Duchess of Cambridge’s poise over Meghan and William’s bullying allegations contributed to the devastating ‘Cain and Abel’ fallout between the brothers,” Morton wrote. “Harry was the ‘prime mover’ in the deterioration of relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, but it was Meghan who ‘took the blow’.”
This is not the first time that allegations have surfaced about William intimidating Harry and Meghan. In January 2020, shortly after Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down from royal duties, the Sunday opening hours reported that the Sussexes had been “taken away from the royal family by the ‘intimidating’ attitude of his brother, the Duke of Cambridge” and quoted a source who said the couple had decided on their royal exit after two years of “constantly said their place.”
The royal family immediately put an end to the rumors, with Harry and William even going so far as to issue a rare joint statement denouncing them.
âDespite clear denials, a false story was published today in a UK newspaper speculating on the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge,â they said. said in the joint statement. “For brothers who care so deeply about mental health issues, the use of inflammatory language in this manner is offensive and potentially harmful.”
The snippets don’t make it clear who Morton’s sources are for the new chapters or if there is any new evidence or information that warrants revisiting the bullying claims, but that’s what’s new to the world of Overanalyzing. the Royal Feud. Consider your Daily Royal Gossip Update over.
